Xiaomi : Launches its most advanced smart factory capable of producing 10 million Smartphones per year

The founder of Xiaomi, Lei Jun revealed today an important milestone for the company: the official opening of its smart factory in Changping, Beijing


This is not just any factory. It has a self-developed production line capable of producing over 10 million flagship smartphones annually, marking Xiaomi's first large-scale, proprietary manufacturing facility and a giant leap in its smart manufacturing ambitions.

This news comes just days before its highly anticipated release Xiaomi 14Ultra, which has planned in China for the 22 February. It is interesting that the Lei Jun confirmed that both its innovative technologies Xiaomi 14 Bay Blue and his 14 Ultra validated at this factory.

But what exactly makes this plant so smart?

It has an amazing rate 96.8% for component and packaging test equipment and a perfect 100% for its factory software. This degree of in-house development translates into a highly automated and digitized production process, capable of self-analysis and decision-making based on data generated in real time.

In essence, this factory can learn and evolve on its own, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency in production.

This is not Xiaomi's first foray into smart construction. The yizhuang is the company's first smart factory, located in Beijing, and started operating in end of 2019. However, the factory Changping it eclipses its predecessor in scale, being up to ten times larger and including a smart second-generation production line for Smartphones.

This line covers everything from circuit board mounting and testing to final assembly, packaging and shipping, with estimated production value 60 billion yuan per year.

The Xiaomi 14Ultra, which will be revealed on 22 February, is expected to feature a powerful primary camera at 50MP with the sensor Sony LYT900 with OIS and variable aperture up to f1.6. In addition, it will have three secondary cameras, including an ultra-wide-angle lens with a sensor at 50MP, of an additional telephoto lens at 50MP and a periscope telephoto lens at 50MP.
