A new patent was unveiled today by Xiaomi, which concerns a Smartphone with the ability to scroll the screen on both sides (right and left).
H Xiaomi does not stop "experimenting" with different types of Smartphones, testing new technologies and original design ideas.
This time it was revealed by LetsGoDigital a new patent, which shows us a device that can scroll the screen on both sides (right and left).
Last week another patent was unveiled for a Smartphone that will be equipped with a rotating internal camera, which will act both as a selfie camera under the screen, and as a rear main camera.
This will be possible through a mechanism that will allow the camera to change position, acting as both a rear and under display selfie camera.
In the new designs that we present to you below from the entry made for the patent, we see that the front as well as the back of the device are covered by screens.
Both on the front screen and the second screen on the back, there is no hole or Notch for the Selfie camera. The second screen on the back has large bezels around the perimeter and seems to have a completely different type of screen (maybe some e-ink display).
The paradox of this device is that when you slide the front screen to the left, a layout of three cameras on the right side is revealed, while sliding to the right a third long narrow screen appears.
So we are dealing with a device that has a total of three screens, but it is not yet clear what the usefulness of this third hidden screen will be.
We also see that the device has an array of four camera sensors that are hidden under the body of the device when it is collapsed. These will obviously be the main cameras of the device, while the other three on the front will be the Selfie cameras.
As you can see, we are dealing with an original design, but it is doubtful whether this patent will reach the final stage of mass production. After all, in the past we have seen Xiaomi "experimenting" with devices that have innovative design, but in the end they were never released on the market.
