Xiaomi held a big event in Barcelona ahead of the official start of MWC tomorrow, in which it finally released the new flagships of the 14 series to the international audience
The company presented today the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in Barcelona, Spain, but unfortunately, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will remain exclusively available in the Chinese market.
Xiaomi 14
As a refresher, the simple version of the Xiaomi 14 features LTPO OLED screen panel at 6.36″ with maximum brightness up to 3000 nits. This panel has 1200p resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victory. The trio of cameras mounted on the island on the back of the device has been completely overhauled – and this flagship now features three shooters with camera sensors at 50 MP.
The main camera has the brightest aperture in f / 1.6 and a larger sensor with dimensions in 1 / 1.31 " and Dual pixel PDAF. The second telephoto camera features 3,2x optical zoom lens which is equivalent to 75 mm, while the third camera is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
Another change that the new Xiaomi 14 brings is the slightly larger battery at 4,610mAh with faster wired charging at 90W and herself wireless charging at 50W and reverse wireless charging at 10W which had last year as well Xiaomi 13.

Xiaomi 14Ultra
The Xiaomi 14Ultra announced in China just a few days ago. It has the same LTPO AMOLED panel at 6.73″ with its predecessor, but can reach up to 3000 nits maximum brightness this time. The company uses a specially adapted protective glass sheet called Shield Glass.
Η main camera at 50 MP got an upgraded lens with variable aperture, so now it goes to one brighter lens with f / 1.6 which can take all intermediate diaphragm positions. It also gets a new sensor with a diagonal of 1″ inch.
The telephoto camera is equipped with a periscope lens that offers 5x optical zoom, while the telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom and the fourth camera with the ultra-wide-angle lens are all the same as their predecessor – and are equipped with the sensors IMX858 at 50 MP from Sony which have size 1 / 2.51 ".
The Xiaomi 14Ultra which is also the most expensive model in the series, comes with larger battery at 5,300mAh with wired charging at 90W, wireless charging at 80W and reverse wireless charging at 10W. The phone is running HyperOS based on Android 14.
The specifications of both the phones are already known and unchanged, with the specifications of the respective versions of the devices launched a few days ago in China.
