Η Visionox officially announced that it is starting mass production of its own technology, in order to see it on smartphones from the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
Οι under display cameras is expected to be the next trend for smartphones, so we get rid of the notches, holes, pop-ups and sliding mechanisms that several companies have been experimenting with in recent months.
The use of under display cameras will start quite soon, as the Visionox officially announced that it is starting mass production of its own technology, in order to see it on smartphones from the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
The company claims that it will offer much improved clarity in the area of the screen where the camera is hidden and a significant innovation in the pixel circuit to minimize interference. Also, the Visionox collaborates with device manufacturers to adopt its algorithm that will help artificially optimize shots (eg reduced reflection, blur avoidance).
All of this will of course have to be proven in practice, because big manufacturers like Xiaomi, consider that very significant obstacles have not yet been overcome for the technology of under display cameras to advance commercially. Just last January, Xiaomi CEO, Mr. Lu Weibing, had stressed that it is not possible to proceed with mass production their own under display camera technology because screens with a pixel density of over 400ppi significantly reduce the light that can be absorbed by the sensor. Therefore, with today's data, the resolution of the screen will have to be sacrificed in order to hide the selfie camera under it.
We expect more information from Visionox about its own technology and some demonstration to see if it has really managed to overcome the technical difficulties.
