If you want to talk to your friends while you are away from your computer, the Valve just made it so much easier through the new app steam chat for iOS and for Android Appliances.
ΤLast July, Valve changed its experience steam chat on the PC and completely redesigned it in order to compete with similar applications, such as Discord, which pulled players away from Steam to talk in-game. THE Valve has greatly evolved the functionality in this new chat system and now the same is being done on mobile platforms.
As he says Steam Blog, the new Steam Chat app is now available for free for iOS and Android. If you do not have access to Google Play, Valve provides instant downloads Android .apk.
According to Valve, the new application has many of the key features offered in the PC version. This includes the friends list so you can easily see who is online and what games they are playing. Valve calls the new experience "Rich Chat", as it includes "higher fidelity links, videos, tweets, GIF, Giphy, emoticons and much more".
You can also add new friends through the app using Invite Links, start group chats to schedule a meeting together, and customize your notifications. When Valve says they are customizable, it's not a joke, you can modify notifications per friend, per group chat or per channel.
Although the app is already available, Valve continues to work on its features, including the ability to voice chat with your friends. You may remember that Valve also has the Steam Mobile app, which is now going to be turned into an application that focuses on account security, through the integration of Steam Guard. In turn, QR and one-touch login codes will appear in the future.
