The new great development in Twitter is no other than the ability to post recorded tweets.
Η company has officially announced the launch of the feature for iOS devices, for now for some users, who see the waveform icon next to that of the camera when attempting to create a tweet.
The recorded tweets support up to 140 seconds of audio and in case the user continues to record, then a new tweet will be automatically created that will open as a thread below the first one. Keep in mind that the ability to record only applies to original tweets, so it is not possible for replies or retweets.
Also, next to each recorded tweet the user's profile image will always appear as static, therefore, in case you change your main image in the future, the recorded tweets will still display the one you had at that time.
In the near future, a new bar will be added at the bottom of the Twitter app for iOS, from where you will be able to listen to recorded tweets in the background and continue scrolling, while playback will continue even when you switch to another app.
So far, there is no update on the general launch for all users, nor on the corresponding function in the Android version of the social network.
