ΟConsoles have reached the point of being mini pc and with the rapid growth of AMD, 4K / 60 fps no longer sounds unthinkable to console fans.
The next generation of consoles is fast approaching, with the Playstation 4 and Xbox One now on the market for over 5 years, but official information about their successors is so far minimal. According to rumors, the Xbox Scarlett, as the code name for Microsoft's next console, is going to bring some shocking changes to the console space.
According to a report by Brad Sams, who is quite confident in what has to do with Microsoft issues, the Xbox Scarlett, which will be released in 2020, will use Zen 2 and the next generation GPU from AMD. Their goal will be to run games in 4K resolutions at 60 frames per second. This report comes very close to rumors that the Playstation 5 will also be equipped with an octa-core Zen and Navi-based GPU. Backward compatibility will also be possible and the current Xbox does just that. Once again, however, both consoles of the next generation will be powered by AMD.
All this information has not been officially confirmed, so it would be good to keep our reservations for the time being. If the console is really intended for 2020 then we will start learning more news next year, most likely at E3 2019, since the Xbox One X was announced a year and a half before its release.
