Google Play & App Store: Tik Tok and WeChat Removed - Epic Games and Riot Games in Focus Now!

After the TikTok and WeChat, the US government is now considering its security protocols Epic Games (Unreal Engine, Fortnite) and Riot Games (creator of League of Legends).

Οdiscussions between ByteDance and various American companies for the purpose of selling it TikTok have started since the end of last July, for fear of being excluded from the service by the US due to the government's claims that it poses a threat to national security.

All this time we have seen various names pass through the list of interested parties, with Microsoft and Oracle expressing their intentions more loudly, ByteDance rejects Microsoft's proposal and the Chinese government to be rumored to prefer the final closure of the service rather than passing into American hands.

We remind you that President Donald Trump has issued an executive decree that will bring an end to TikTok and other Chinese services - applications (eg WeChat) from the US with deadline on 12 November 2020, however, as of tomorrow, September 20, 2020, the two services will be removed from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) as the first loud bell.

Rumor has it that Donald Trump does not agree with the upcoming cooperation between Oracle and ByteDance for TikTok and according to the Bloomberg Network “is not ready to give his signature approval”. On the other hand, the US Department of Commerce wants the two services TikTok and WeChat to disappear from the US and therefore will force all telecommunications providers to stop hosting them, putting a brake on the millions of users who already have them installed on the devices. their.

Moreover, US Government Considers Epic Games Security Protocols (Unreal Engine, Fortnite) and Riot Games (creator of League of Legends), because the Chinese giant Tencent owns 40% of the former and owns the latter. This means that in the coming weeks it will not be unlikely that we will hear about a decision to block the most popular Fortnite, League of Legends and other top games from the US.

Since the US has started a war with China, we will not be impressed to see a direct attack on other Chinese companies, such as Alibaba. Fortunately we live in an age of globalization and technology is for everyone… (as long as it comes from us or our friends).
