Samsung: Announced the Exynos 990 which will be integrated in the next Galaxy 11

Η Samsung announced her news today SoC which listens to the name Exynos 990 and which will be integrated into the next flagship smartphone, galaxy 11.


Τthe new SoC is faster from the Exynos 980 which was introduced in September - has been created with the process of 7nm EUV and has a total of eight cores of which four are Cortex-A76 while the other four are Cortex-A55. The graphics have been taken over by the Mali-G77 MP11, which according to Samsung will offer lag-free gaming.

In addition, the Exynos 990 has Dual-Core NPU and enhanced Digital Signal Processor (DSP), which will offer better performance for the camera and digital assistant. In terms of cameras, the new SoC can support 108MP cameras. It is possible to record 8K UHD video at 30fps as well as 10-bit HDR and there is support for a screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR.

Supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.0 or UFS 2.1 storage and 4K UHD screen resolution. Of course, the chip integrates 5G thanks to the Exynos Modem 5123. Finally, Samsung has added another layer of security called Security Element (iSE) to store personal data in a separate space from the operating system.
