The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ that were unveiled last March will now make their debut in the India on May 19
This revelation comes from Redmi itself, which a series of teasers on the company's official account at Twitter, announcing its release Redmi A2 series in India as well, which is scheduled for next Friday at 11 am local time.
The company has not explicitly mentioned the launch of Redmi A2 or A2+, but using the word “series” and seeing the poster of Redmi A2+ on the promotion page on the official website of Xiaomi India directly confirms that the Redmi A2 and A2+ both will launch in India next week.
The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ they are essentially identical devices, with the A2+ version having an additional fingerprint scanner which is placed on the back of the device and is not different in any way from the other version.
Both phones are equipped with the Mediatek Helio G36 SoC, have HD + resolution LCD screens at 6,52″ and powered by 5.000 mAh batteries. In terms of cameras, it has an 8MP primary camera on the back, which is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, while the front selfie camera is equipped with a 5MP sensor.
The Redmi A2 and A2+ that were launched globally last March run Android 12 (Go Edition), but the Indian versions of the devices will have Android 13.
