According to recent reports in community forums Mi , XDA and Reddit , some of its owners Redmi Note 9 Pro / 9S have problems connecting it WiFi on their device.
Μsome of the holders of Redmi Note 9 Pro / 9S, claim that their device interrupts WiFi connections when the monitor is off and in standby mode. While the device indicates that it is connected to WiFi when you turn on the monitor after a while, the WiFi connection does not appear to be working, and you will need to turn WiFi off and on again from the settings or the icon in the TaskBar for to work again.
Although we're not sure what causes the WiFi problem on the Redmi Note 9 Pro & 9S, some users report that this problem is related to the hardware, especially due to an error when processing the WiFi encryption. The member tushar by the XDA Developers team tried to recreate the problem in Notes redmi 9 Pro (with firmware version 11.0.7), and noted that WiFi speed was drastically reduced when the screen was locked. However, in his case, the speed was restored as soon as the screen of his device was turned on again.
In fact, as observed by tushar, his downloads Play Store did not resume after the screen was turned on, while downloads in Google Chrome continued normally.
Some users at Reddit Xiaomi claims that although it has recognized the problem and is working to fix it through a new update on MIUI, so far we have not seen any official comment from the company. We will let you know when Xiaomi makes a statement on the matter.
