Bad news for Redmi Note 8 owners (Ginkgo), as it looks like they won't be getting the MIUI 13 upgrade

Το Redmi Note 8 received the update MIUI 13 in so far – only in internal MIUI Beta (Pilot ROM), and we all expected that soon the device will officially receive the MIUI 13 update.

However, 16 days ago, the internal testing on MIUI 13 for this device was suddenly stopped, and as we all understand, this stop automatically means that the Redmi Note 8 will unfortunately not receive the update on MIUI 13.

The fact that Redmi Note 8 it was the best-selling device in its history redmi, and will not receive the update at MIUI 13, is sure to cause disruption to all device owners.

Tests on Pilot MIUI 13 for Redmi Note 8 have stopped

Xiaomi has released Redmi Note 8 in 2019 and had come with MIUI 10 based on Android 9, and has since been upgraded to Android 10 and Android 11. There was a good chance that Redmi Note 8 to obtain the coveted upgrade to MIUI 13, and had even started the testing program in China Beta MIUI 13 ROM for the device on 24 November. The device has since continued to roll out internal updates to MIUI 13 Beta ROMs (Pilot Roms), but which were available internally only to those who participated in the testing program, and he received the first Pilot MIUI 13 ROM on December 20, 2021, along with other devices.

Since then, the Redmi Note 8 continued to receive the update MIUI 13 Pilot ROMs internally for posterity 5 months and 26 days. However, from June 16 2022 which received the latest Pilot Rom, suddenly the upgrades stopped without any explanation. We don't want to give sad news to the users of the device, but since the internal tests on MIUI 13 have been stopped for the device, this suggests that Redmi Note 8 will not get the update to MIUI 13 after all.

Except RedMi Note 8, has also confirmed that they will not receive an update on MIUI 13 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu, Mi 9 SE, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9.

The latest version of the first internal Pilot version in MIUI 13 for the Redmi Note 8 is on 22.6.16, but essentially it is useless for everyone, since only those who had taken part in Beta Testing program of Xiaomi can install it on their devices. As you can see, we basically have now EOL (End Of Life) for almost the entire series of Redmi 8 & Redmi Note 8, and all we have left to do is one dignified memorial service.

So what do you think about the fact that Redmi Note 13 internal MIUI 8 tests have stopped? The fact that these devices, which have been sold millions of times, cannot get the update to MIUI 13 will make the users of the device very unhappy.

Very stupid decision by the company. Especially the note 8 Pro is the best selling mobile not only of the company but also of all mobile telephony in Greece at least, with excellent reviews and without any such worthy successor. They should show him some respect.

I used to "follow" Xiaomi a lot until a year ago. i brought my first xiaomi in 2014 redmi 1s……still live , after battery change. But Xiaomi, you released some models and we could follow you, in the last 2 years you have gone too far. I currently own the Redmi note 8 pro, I don't care so much about the miui 13, but you've confused me, I don't know what to choose with so many models you're releasing now. I say go to another company…..I won't say which one.
