Η Xiaomi A new Smartphone of the series was released today Redmi K30, called REDM K30 5G Racing Edition (or else Extreme or Speed Edition).
Εis the first Smartphone to have the upgraded chipset Snapdragon 768G of Qualcomm which also supports 5G connectivity.The new processor brings a slight increase in performance over its previous SoCs Snapdragon 765 and 765G . The clock speed of the CPU increases from 2,4GHz to 2,8GHz, while at the same time there is an increase in performance in Adreno GPU 620 by about 15%.
The new Snapdragon 768G SoC features a built-in 5G modem, making it Redmi K30 Racing Edition compatible with The Dual 5G Mode (SA / NSA 5G), and the device is equipped with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Except for the upgraded SoC, the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition has the same screen refresh rate at 120Hz with its predecessor . The screen size is also at 6,67 inches, it has a resolution FHD + (1080 x 2400 pixels) and aspect ratio 20: 9.
In terms of cameras, the device has a vertical quad-camera arrangement at the back consisting of a main camera with its sensor Sony IMX686 at 64MP, a super-wide-angle lens with sensor on 8MP, a Macro camera in 5MP and a depth-of-field sensor at 2MP. In other words, the cameras that the new device has, are almost the same as the ones that the's have Redmi K30 5G.
In front of it Redmi K30 Racing Edition there is a selfie camera in 20MP which is also supported by a depth sensor in 2MP. The two cameras are located below the holes in the right corner of the screen.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has a 3,5 mm headphone jack as well as a USB-C port. In addition to the 5G connectivity mentioned earlier, the phone also supports dual SIM, Bluetooth, NFC, IR blaster and GPS / A-GPS.
The volume keys are on the right side of the phone and the fingerprint sensor is integrated in the power button.
The device is powered by a battery 4.500mAh and supports fast charging on 30w. However, the device does not support wireless charging

The REDM K30 5G Racing Edition released only in China at the moment, and its price is 1.999 yuan (~ $ 282 / € 260).
Overall, the new Redmi K30 Racing Edition is no different from the Redmi K30 5G. The only exception is Qualcomm's new SoC, which will improve the overall performance of the phone and help improve the gaming experience, taking into account the improved GPU performance of the device.
