The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has received a number of updates since its release late last year, and that commitment extends to the new year.
Ο its general manager Pocophone India, Manmohan Chandolu, tweeted that 4K / 60fps video recording will be available in a new stable update next month. So you will no longer have to choose between just 4K / 30fps or 1080p / 60fps, giving you the best you can get from your camera.
And regarding 4K 60 FPS, we will be rolling it out in the stable update in February. We are working with our partners to provide Widevine L1 certification.
We will continue to focus on providing the best experience on POCO F1. (2/2)@IndiaPOCO- C Manmohan (@cmanmohan) January 7, 2019
The upgrade means that the Pocophone F1 might be the cheapest device that can record at 4K / 60fps, as the price of the device is many times lower than its flagships LG and Samsung the 2018.
But there's more to great camera quality than resolution and frame rate, and the PocoPhone F1 unfortunately does not have all the important ones optical image stabilizations . Nevertheless, we are pleased to see that even with the new upgrade, the owners of the device will be able to record video at 4K / 60fps.
