Η Xiaomi has so far had five independent subsidiaries in its portfolio such as redmi, Poco, Mito, CC and Black Shark, and this list continues to grow.

Η Poco however, as Xiaomi announced today, it will from now on operate completely independently, with its own market strategy and resources.
Speaking to TechCrunch, Xiaomi Vice President, Manu Kumar Jain, stated: “We think it is right to let her go POCO to operate on its own now, which is why we are excited to announce that the POCO from now on it will continue to evolve as a completely independent brand".
The announcement made by Manu Kumar Jain, did not reveal how the new company will be structured and how much autonomy it will have Poco. Xiaomi also spun off Redmi a year or so ago in the same way, but devices from both companies have a lot in common, and are often simple redesigns of the same device or simple rebrands. OnePlus and its parent Oppo work the same way.
At least, now we know that the Poco as a company it is not dead. There are undoubtedly many who are interested in seeing a new one Poco F2, but now with the Poco which is supposed to be responsible for its own market research and its own resources, it remains to be seen if the next Smartphone it will present to us will be priced around the same as the amazing Poco F1.
