Nubia Z50S Pro : Official in China with 35mm lens and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC

Η ZTE was officially released today in China the Nubia Z50S Pro in three different color options with a different leather texture on the back of the device


The first two color choices in Black and Khaki color they come with a camera island that looks like a lens and a large part of the back with a leatherette texture. The third option in White color is inspired by ice and the camera island is decorated with one iridescent ring.

Whichever look you prefer, all three models feature the camera island prominently, but the star of the show is the 35mm lens with its trademark nubia. It's a lens 1G + 6P stages with wide aperture at f / 1.59, with optical image stabilization (OIS), but also one large sensor at 50MP 1 / 1.49″.

In addition, the phone is equipped with a UltraWide camera at 50MP with a lens 13mm (125° FoV, f/2.0) which is also used as Macro camera, as it can focus at a distance of just 2.5cm/1in. If you want to take a picture from afar, there is one too 80mm telephoto (OIS, f/2.4) with sensor in 16MP.

Η ZTE shared some early sample photos from the phone's camera below, but they've gone through some compression on Weibo and you can't see all the details.

Turning to the front of the device, the Z50S Pro features a large AMOLED screen at 6.78” with analysis 1.260 x 2.800px (452ppi, 20:9). It is a panel at 10-bit which covers against 100% the color palette DCI-P3 and supports both the DC dimming as well as high frequency PWM dimming at 2,160Hz.

Although the device is not focused on Gaming like the Smartphones of the series Red Magic, but this does not mean that the Nubia Z50S Pro lags behind in performance. The device screen works with refresh rate at 120Hz and has touch sampling up to 1.000Hz.

The device is equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset, but in a boosted build version with the main core clocked at 3.36GHz and enhanced GPU. The device manages to keep cool at the same time thanks to a huge vapor chamber possessing, with total area at 4.233mm².

Speaking of power, the phone is powered by one battery at 5,100mAh and supports the fast charging at 80W. According to what ZTE claims, with moderate use you can squeeze out a little more than 37 hours of use from the battery. In power saving mode, only one is enough charge to 5% for you have 6 hours waitings or for a call 30 minutes on WeChat.

The ZTE nubia Z50S Pro is available for pre-order in China starting today, and can be found at ZTE Mall, while normal sales will start in the country from July 27 (next Thursday).

There are many available versions of the device to choose from, starting with configuration at 12 / 256GB priced at CNY 3,700 (~$515 / €460 / ₹42,250), with the remaining configurations being at 12GB/1TB and arrive at 16GB / 1TB (RAM/storage).

Note that the white version it is slightly more expensive than the rest, costing 100 yuan more from the respective devices to black or khaki color.
