The nubia Flip was unveiled at the MWC 2024 event and now, the company has announced its release and availability information.
Its external screen nubia Flip it has a special design inspired by vinyl records and its thickness when opened reaches 7.0 mm.
It is made of Waterdrop Hinges with strong metal materials. It also has for SoC Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, main camera in 50MP and fast charging speed at 33w.
Nubia Flip starting price and availability
The nubia Flip it will be available in two different versions.
- The version with 8GB/256GB RAM & Storage is in $499 (approx. €459)
- The version with 12GB/512GB RAM & Storage is in $699 (approx. €643)
On the other hand, in China the foldable smartphone will be available in four different versions.
- The version with 8GB/256GB RAM & Storage is in RMB 2999 (approx. €381)
- The version with 12GB/256GB RAM & Storage is in RMB 3299 (approx. €419)
- The version with 12GB/512GB RAM & Storage is in RMB 3699 (approx. €470)
The color options it will be available in nubia Flip is: Cosmic Black, Sunshine Gold and Flowing Lilac. Sales begin on April 23rd (excluding Europe and the UK) via its website nubia.
Specifications
Its screen nubia Flip is AMOLED at 6.9 inches with FHD+ resolution at 2790 x 1188 pixels, refresh rate at 120Hz, PWM Dimming at 2160Hz and 443 PPI. The external screen is OLED at 1.43 inches.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC which is accompanied by Adreno GPU 644 for the graphics section. In addition, inside the device there is also RAM at 12GB with internal storage at 512GB.
The photo section is taken over by main camera at 50MP with f/1.8 aperture accompanying with depth sensor at 2MP. In the front there is also the selfie camera at 16MP.
The battery of the device is at 4310mAh with fast charging speed at 33W. Connectivity options include; Wi-Fi 802.11, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and a door USB Type-C.
To make it functional nubia Flip will run it My OS 13 which is version based Android 13. It will also feature dual speakers, with support for audio technologies DTS: X and Snapdragon.
Finally, the nubia states that the strength of the hinge and screen has been tested for more than 200.000 openings.
