Ήwhen almost exactly a year ago, when HMD Global said it would consider unlocking the bootloader at Nokia 8 . Company policy does not allow users to unlock bootloaders for security reasons. However, this is changing as it is now possible to unlock the Nokia 8 bootloader.
The news comes from a tweet from Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global. He is the one who said last year that he would consider this possibility. So it looks like Bootloader can now be unlocked. So if you go to one new page on the Nokia website, you can log in to your account and start the bootloader unlock process.
This is obviously very good news for the Android community. Nokia has many Android One devices at extremely affordable devices like Android Go . They have decent features and clean software. Unfortunately, the bootloader status prevented enthusiastic users from using it TWRP , Magisk , SuperSU , Xposed Framework , custom ROM and tons of other such Mod. Nokia 8 users can now finally enjoy all these benefits by unlocking the Bootloader.
