New reduced charges for international calls and international SMS made from a landline or mobile phone within the European Union (EU), will be valid from tomorrow 15 May 2019.
ΗEETT informs consumers that from tomorrow, 15 May 2019, new reduced charges will apply for international calls and international SMS made from a landline or mobile phone within the European Union (EU) to another EU country, as well as to Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.
In particular, consumers within it EU, will pay for each call to and from landline or mobile, up to 0,19 euros / minute before VAT and for each SMS up to 0,06 euros / SMS before VAT. It is noted that this new regulation applies to home consumers who are contract and prepaid and does not apply to corporate customers (professionals and companies).
Η EETT monitors the compliance of telecommunications providers with the new rules and monitors developments in the international call market within the EU, in cooperation with the European Telecommunications Regulators (BEREC) and the European Commission.
