As always, the John Wu he overcame himself and announced that he had succeeded in activating the Root into a Pixel 3XL with Android Q Beta 4.
Μalong with many other security related updates, the Android Q also changed the structure of the apartments (Partitions) of the system for Pixel 3 and 3a, to allow the smooth installation of Generic System Images through the dynamic system updates, but also the improvement of general security.
A side effect of this new apartment building is the inability to access root in Magisk, and the creator of this very popular application, John Wu, had stated, that this would mean that in Android Q we could not ROOT on newer devices for quite some time.
But, as always, the Wu he outdid himself and announced that he had succeeded in activating the Root in Pixel 3XL with Android Q Beta 4.
So good news for those who want to have Root on their devices when they are later upgraded to the new Android Q, and the same will certainly be true for those Xiaomi devices that get an upgrade later to MIUI which will be based on Google's latest operating system.
