Today, the big Chinese company unveiled the Harmony OS operating system in one developer conference at its headquarters.
Τlast month h Huawei has filed a trademark called Harmony OS and with the information we had until then about HongMeng OS we did not know for sure who it was.
The new operating system is based on microkernels like Google's famous operating system, Android. The CEO of the company Richard Yu says that the operating system will be able to be integrated in many different products such as smart speakers, cars, computers, smartwatches, tablets and of course in smartphones.
To facilitate developers, Huawei will also release the ARK Compiler, a specially designed compiler for Harmony OS that can compile code for several programming languages such as C / C ++ and Kotlin. Unfortunately for some users, Huawei will not allow root access to make devices more secure.
The CEO of Huawei wants his company to continue working with Google so that it can use Android, otherwise the Harmony OS will be installed on all its devices.
The first Harmony OS-powered device is announced today in China and will be the Honor Vision TV.
