Despite Vice President Catherine Chen's statements that the HongMeng OS is not an operating system intended for smartphones, a new report from the Chinese Global Times brings to the fore again the possibility of using it on one of its smartphones Huawei which will be released at the end of 2019.
ΣThe report emphasizes that Huawei will present the HongMeng OS for the first time with all formality at the HDC 2019 conference to be held on August 9 in Dongguan (China), while we know that the first device with HongMeng OS will be Honor Vision TV which will also be presented in detail on August 10th.
To return to the first smartphone with HongMeng OS, this is said to be presented along with the series Huawei Mate 30 in October and will be released in China at a price of 1999 yuan (about € 260), so we expect to see a mid-range device for the first test.
We remind you that Huawei's goal is to create an alternative ecosystem instead of the Android OS, which makes better use of Artificial Intelligence and has the ability to "run" on any type of device.
