ΦIt is rumored that Google will not only introduce the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 9, but also the Pixel Slate, a tablet with Chrome OS, detachable keyboard and stylus, which appeared in photos via MySmartPrice revealing its design.
According to the photos that were revealed, the Pixel Slate will "run" Chrome OS and will have a detachable keyboard and an active stylus. The device is called "Nocturne" and will compete with Microsoft Surface Pro, with its technical features including a 3: 2 aspect ratio screen in which one can use the capacitive stylus which is similar to the Pixelbook laptop.
The Pixel Slate is equipped with a camera on each side while the black "strips" that may be antennas, show that it can use a sim card to connect to 4G networks. The power button visible in the photos could have a built-in digital fingerprint reader, while on the front of the tablet there appear to be stereo speakers.
Regarding the detachable keyboard, it seems to have round keys and touchpad and users will be able to "button" it on the screen via the pin connector. In addition, it appears to have a key that activates Google Assistant with the top of the keyboard being used to place the tablet which will close and turn into a laptop.
Finally, in terms of software, the device will have a Chrome OS operating system that can "run" android applications, while the hardware is expected to include an ARM processor or a low-power one made by Intel, something we will learn when will be officially unveiled by Google, along with any new features included in this new Google proposal.
