ΤChrome OS has evolved, starting from laptops to tablets. Google today introduced the Google Pixel Slate, which we talked about a few days ago. Google has optimized the Chrome OS interface for a business experience. It starts with a version of Chrome, continues with G Suite, and finally splits the screen for better multitasking. The launcher predicts which of the applications you want to use and brings their shortcuts to the front and center. Google Assistant is also deeply integrated.
The Google Pixel Slate is ideal for fun as well as work. In addition to a good screen, there are stereo speakers facing forward. There is a quarterly free trial of YouTube TV. The service allows you to watch live-tv from 60 networks (sports, news, etc.).
There are two cameras in the Slate, both with 8MP resolution. The front is centrally located, making it suitable for video calling. The wide-angle lens and large pixel image sensor allow for excellent imaging while supporting Portrait mode. The rear camera uses the excellent software of Google and since it is a tablet it takes excellent photos.
Google has added a Titan security chip to Slate while there is antivirus protection. Since the software is vital, Chrome OS will update automatically in the background. The Google Pixel Slate will launch in the US, Canada and the UK later this year. It will be available through Google and major retailers. The tablet costs $ 600, but you will have to pay extra for the accessories - $ 200 for the keyboard and $ 100 for the pen.
