Google Camera Night Sight | The first ports for Xiaomi Mi 5, Essential PH1 and OnePlus 6 / 6T are available

Πvery good news for our smartphone cameras, as XDA has already started a big effort to transfer the Night Sight function from Pixel 3 and other devices. So it happened in the case of HDR + several months ago, so now the community is showing its reflexes and offering us a huge improvement in our photos.

For those who have not watched the issue, the Night Sight is the evolution of HDR + and us delivers incredibly bright photos in low light conditions, thanks to Google's algorithm. This means that even on our mediocre device, we can dramatically enhance night photos by simply installing the Google software.

So as in the case of HDR +, to run Night Sight on our device,a specific application must be created with all the necessary files and libraries. We are just at the beginning of this project and so far… the lucky devices that have their own mod are the following:

If you have one of these devices, you can click on the link for the one you are interested in and download the corresponding mod. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to try it, so we would like to see your night photos and your comments on how great you find this improvement on your own camera.
