Η Epic Games recently announced that at least 200 million people all over the world have played it even once Fortnite, which proves to be highly addictive especially at a young age. In some cases, according to the Bloomberg network, this addiction requires medical attention and many parents have already gone so far as to send their children to special rehab centers.
The special advisor Michael Jacobus admitted that more than half of the children who came to his clinic were playing non-stop Fortnite and the mother of a patient stated that she had never seen a toy invade so much in the minds of children.
This is definitely not the first time we have heard of gaming addiction clinics and most of you will probably remember what happened in previous years with World of Warcraft, at least in Western countries as in Asia they "burn" badly with other MMOs. It seems, however, that Fortnite is turning into the new "video game drug".
