The US economic war against China continues with new moves by the US government.
Τtime and the telecommunications regulator (FCC - Federal Communications Commission) now officially describes Huawei and ZTE as "dangerous to national security".
With this decision, the FCC prohibits telecommunications providers from using money from the common fund (Universal Service Fund - $ 8.3 billion annually) for the purchase or maintenance of equipment from one of the two Chinese companies. It's a rather symbolic move, since anyway Huawei and ZTE are on the US Department of Commerce blacklist making any transaction with them quite difficult.
What is most interesting is its official announcement FCC on the issue, because the President Ajit Pait Stresses that the decision was made due to the "unshakable evidenceIn their hands about the close relationship between Huawei and ZTE with the Chinese government. He also said that these relations oblige the two companies to comply with Chinese legislation on cooperation with the secret services.
As every other time in recent months, the US side has not released any evidence to support its claims, while Huawei categorically denies the usual allegations.
