ΓWe recently learned that there is a very serious problem with all parcel shipments from ELTA and the other private courier companies (Courier), especially in recent weeks and since our country advanced to the second Lock Down because of it Covid-19.
The result was that almost the entire population went to the On-Line markets to meet the needs, and especially now due to holidays when demand is high. The result of all this unprecedented mission load and given that ELTA have a severe shortage of staff, have now reached the point where they can no longer serve the multiple volume of missions.
So today, the service of ELTA Courier issued a press release announcing that they were suspending receipts from the Monday 28.12.20 until Friday 08.01.21 in order to ensure the gradual normalization of the operation of the network and to return to the normal time levels of handling of shipments.

As you already know, the excessive demand for courier services during this period, has created an explosive situation with difficulties and delays in the delivery of products, for the whole market.
Despite its timely preparation ELTA Courier (increase of square meters in the Sorting Centers, extensive recruitment of staff, increase of the fleet, expansion of the Network with new service points, modifications in the production process to save time, new supplies, collaborations with other companies, etc.), the unprecedented conditions that have been created asymmetrically burden the network.
At this juncture, and following a further increase in the volume of items handled due to adverse conditions throughout the courier market, we are called upon to seek immediate solutions to normalize pending shipments so that we can meet our commitments.
For this reason and in order to ensure the gradual normalization of the operation of the network and to return to the normal time levels of handling of shipments, we proceed to the interruption of receipts from Monday 28.12.20 until Friday 08.01.21.
We ask for your understanding in this effort, which is imposed by the circumstances and necessary to ensure the best possible service.

I was left without Christmas presents for distribution within Thessaloniki.
8/12 entered the ELTA courier and have not arrived until December 24. I track with the shipment number, but there is stagnation for many days.
They do not answer the phones, the same goes for the mails and when I went to the store they did not know.
Other companies may be delayed, but not 16+ days within the city.

Basically they are so rude and useless and they do not know the word service λα I sent door to door and it arrived after 5 days… .and I paid 9 € for a paper and a small object… and when I asked… except irony… and style… just he did not even bother to tell me when he would return and how I would get my money back… because I paid for a service they did not offer… .and they laughed and hung up the phone… Athens Metropolis mission and Orestiada pickup…. the lockdown…. For the name… the candy… arrives for the first time… yes ok..but now… what ??
