Despite talk of bankruptcy, the Twitter managed to make the first interest payment for the 12,5 billions of dollars debt borrowed by Musk to complete the Twitter purchase. Being able to make the payment on time likely gave Musk the confidence to tweet his claim.
Personally, Musk has gone through difficult times. Last year, he became the first person to lose $200 billion in wealth in a single year. During the past year, Tesla shares fall 37% accounting for most of the evaporation of his wealth.
