Huawei P40: The unveiling of the new Smartphone series by Huawei

Η Huawei presented today at live streaming from Paris on new series of P40 smartphones, which comes to redefine once again the way the planet interacts with its mobile.

Κdevelopments with the coronavirus may not have allowed the Chinese tech giant to make the presentation to the world it wanted, but the event turned the eyes of all techies, as a first "taste" was given by smartphones devices, around which they will come to the market in the near future.

The P40 series will have three models, the P40 (8 GB RAM, 128 GB capacity), the P40 Pro (8 GB RAM, 256 GB capacity) and P40 Pro Plus (8 GB RAM, 512 GB capacity). The first two will be available to the public on April 7, while the third (Plus) will be launched from June, without revealing the exact day from CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu, who made the presentation. Respectively, their prices will be respectively, 799 euros, 999 euros and 1.399 euros, however these may change depending on the market.

The P40 and Pro Pro come in the following colors: black, white, deep sea blue, gray silver frost and blush gold. As for the P40 Pro Plus it will be available in two color combinations, ceramic black and ceramic white.

Inside the devices we will find the Kirin 990 5G, which comes with eight cores in total, with the entire range of devices now being 5th Generation. The graphics are taken over by a 16-core Mali-G76.

Like all Huawei devices, the P40 series has been given a significant weight in the photo, where there is a significant improvement over the P30 series, as the basic sensor is clearly larger, while we have a large increase in the resolution of both the wide-angle and the telephoto lens, while growing in size as well as pixel sizes. The basic sensor is at 50 MP, while the rest differ depending on the model.

Typical was a photograph of a small lion, shown by Richard Yu during the presentation, which was immortalized with a Huawei P40.

On the front the devices have a 32 MP sensor, while next to it we will find a 3D Depth Sensing Camera, to calculate the depth of field. Really, selfies are becoming even more impressive.

The new AI technology in phones aims to offer the best photo capture, with images before and after the time the shutter button was pressed. Thus, the task of each user in achieving the best photo, becomes even easier.

Although the presentation may not fully reflect the build quality, it stands out immediately, as it seems that Huawei worked hard to give the most premium result possible. Also, the devices come with an overflow display. This means that the screen is curved at the top and bottom as well as on the sides of the handset. This means that the screen is curved at the top and bottom, as well as on the sides of the handset.

The fingerprint scanner is located at the bottom of the screen, at a higher point than the P30 Pro, which makes it even more convenient to use.

Finally, Huawei has introduced the new range of Huawei Watch GT watches, with the battery life increasing to two weeks. The Watch GT 2 will be available at prices 229 and 249 euros, while the Watch GT 2e at 199 euros.

In addition, the Huawei Sound X speaker was unveiled, which was made in collaboration with the French company Devialet and which promises excellent acoustic performance.
