Both devices were spotted on various certification sites today. Specifically, it was found on the certification website NBTC The Redmi A2 with the model number 23028RN4DG with the Redmi A2 + with the model number 23028RNCAG.
The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ have also received the necessary certification from TUV, while at the same time, the Redmi A2 + has also received certification from ECC.
This suggests the upcoming Redmi A2 series smartphones are all set to launch in a few days, while they have already been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, so the launch of the devices in the Indian market is expected.
The Redmi A2 + is expected to be the same as Redmi A2 except for the addition of the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.
The design that will have the Redmi A2 remains essentially unchanged from its predecessor (Redmi A1). So, the device comes with an LCD screen with WaterDrop Notch for the front Selfie camera, and a dual camera setup on the back of the device.
So, the device will be equipped with a 6,52-inch IPS LCD screen with analysis HD +, and will have RAM at 2 GB and 32 GB storage which should be expandable via a Micro SD card.
On the back of the device it should accommodate a main camera at 8MP and an unspecified secondary camera with capabilities ai. As far as the software is concerned, the device will "run" it Android 13 (Go Edition) and will be powered by one battery at 5.000 mAh with charging support on 10w above the old microUSB port.
The Redmi A2 expected to be released in a few weeks and in Europe with a price of 97 euros, and will be available at black, blue and green.
