COSMOTE scholarships were awarded to 30 first-year students

In 30 first year students of Greek universities were awarded the COSMOTE Scholarships of a total value of more than €500.000 for the academic year 2023-2024


The COSMOTE Scholarship Program, which turns twenty-two years old, provides financial support for all years of study to students who face financial and social difficulties, to be able to carry out their studies. This is her longest running social contribution program COSMOTE, totaling approx 8 million, which he has supported until today 814 students.

Especially for the 2023-2024 were given 30 scholarships, which include the honorary scholarship "Zacharias Piperidis» total gross amount €25.000 , awarded to a student of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in memory of the distinguished executive of the OTE Group, 14 scholarships total gross amount €18.750 each for students of five years of study, and from 15 scholarships total gross amount €15.000 each for four-year students.

In addition to the scholarship, COSMOTE offers scholarship holders modern technological solutions free of charge to meet their daily telecommunication needs. A complete package of fixed and mobile telecommunication services is provided, Iinternet and mobile Internet for all the years of their studies, technological equipment such as laptop and COSMOTE TV. Also, the new Scholars have the opportunity to practice in the modern and dynamic working environment of the OTE Group.

"Now, nothing stops" young people with appetite and passion for new challenges

With a key message "Now nothing stops you”, inspired by the lifestyle of its fellows COSMOTE, first-year students attended an experiential personal empowerment workshop. During the day the young scholars discussed issues that concern them, shared their personal experiences as well as their plans for the future.

Η Maria Haratsari, a student in the physics department of the University of Ioannina dreams of working in a large research center and dealing with nuclear medicine. He believes that with the scholarship he will be able to save money to carry out postgraduate studies.

The scholars, according to the results of a recent survey, consider the COSMOTE scholarships as a very important financial support, which allows them to complete their studies as well as a vote of confidence in their strengths. Also the scholarship is a motivation to continue their studies.
