More than 300.000 households and businesses across Greece have access to 100% fiber optic home (FTTH) through COSMOTE Fiber, the largest fiber optic network in the country, with COSMOTE achieving its ambitious goal to expand the fiber optic network by the end of 2020.

Even more areas - 500.000 FTTH lines by the end of the year
Continuing its dynamic investments in the development and expansion of the fiber optic network, COSMOTE "activated" 14 additional new areas in Greece, with access to ultra-high speeds and the unlimited possibilities of fiber to the home. In addition, the Fiber to the Home infrastructure is being extended to even more households and businesses in areas where fiber optics have already been activated and launched.
Starting from the north, they can now connect to 100% optical fiber up to the socket Orestiada, Florina and Grevena, while FTTH has expanded to even more households and businesses Drama and Kastoria. The Larissa and Lesvosgained access to guaranteed speeds 100 & 200Mbps, while in the Peloponnese added the Aigio and Nafplio. In Attica, access to infrastructure FTTH via COSMOTE Fiber, acquired the areas of Ampelokipi, Zografou, Elefsina, Lavrio and Spata.
At the end of January, Igoumenitsa and Livadia were added, raising the available FTTH lines to 325.000, while the target-challenge of the year is 500.000 lines across the country. Thanks to the continuous expansion of the network, the OTE Group remains first in population coverage, having installed over 77% of the total FTTH lines of the country.

Η COSMOTE has the programs COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed 100 & 200Mbps from € 28,90 per month, providing guaranteed ultra-high speeds 100 & 200Mbps with the possibility of upgrading in the future to 1Gbps.
The price is formed in combination with the special subsidy of a total amount of € 360 of the Superfast Broadband action of the Ministry of Digital Government. The action is implemented with the voucher method, which subsidizes the fixed of the programs COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed with € 13 / month, for a period of 24 months and the one-time connection cost of € 482.
