Assassin's Creed Unity: Ubisoft releases free version for Windows - (because of Notre Dame)

The popular video game series Assassin's creed could provide valuable information for rebuilding its damaged part Our Lady of Paris.

Game designer Caroline Miousse spent two whole years in Paris documenting in detail the iconic temple, so that she could represent it virtually in the game.

During her stay in the French capital, Miousse collaborated with artists and historians to ensure that the temple would be captured in the game with the greatest possible artistic and historical accuracy. The result is not historically accurate, as the church bell towers were actually added after the time of the events of the French Revolution, while many of the works of art that adorn the interior of the church are protected by copyright and could not be reflected in the virtual version of the temple.

According to National Geographic, the team that will undertake the restoration of the temple will also have at its disposal the study of the art historian Andrew Tallon, who has created with the laser scanning technique a copy of the building "exactly 5 mm"

The unfortunate event of the destruction of the Cathedral in Paris mobilized many people (possessors, possessors and non-possessors) to show their support to start the restoration works as soon as possible.
