If we recall the case of Google Glasses things did not turn out so well, as Google's effort in the world of AR glasses somewhere "cut" in… trials.
ΩHowever, Apple does not seem to be intimidated by "Bad" past of her great opponent and for several months now she has her own proposal in the works! So according to the leaks that have seen the light of day in recent days, Apple is preparing glasses augmented reality (Augmented Reality) which will be called (… surprise!) AppleGlasses.
According to well-informed sources, Apple Glasses will be associated with iPhone and will be controlled by a series of gestures, while in both lenses there will be displays. The data will be displayed through an advanced User Interface, which is called Starboard and their special feature will be that only their user will be able to see the information displayed in front of him (that is, anyone else will just see a classic pair of glasses).
At this stage the leaked prototype has plastic frame, but it is not excluded that they will be released with me metallic, while according to all indications they will have special sensors (sounds like a LiDAR sensor on the arm), but not cameras (something that can of course change in the final version).
Their price will be quite low for the data of such an advanced Project, as they will cost approximately 499 $, while one can also get them with a doctor's prescription by simply paying the extra cost of the special lenses.
Most likely we will see them (coronavirus allowed) for the first time this year Apple's annual event (estimated sometime next October) and for a regular release may be released towards the end of 2021, although the 2022 seems like a more likely date.
