Today the Antutu made clarifications regarding its exclusion from Google Play Store, stating that it is her fault Google which will soon be restored.
Δwe published yesterday that Google removes all AnTuTu applications from Play Store, which include the AnTuTu 3D Bench both versions Antutu Benchmark, due to repeated breach of Google's policy by Cheetah Mobile, who is considered to be the creator of the above applications.
Today Amelie Liu, who is its global marketing manager Antutu, contacted the pages that published the news, to clarify what exactly happened. The following is the full text of the message about deleting applications from Play Store.
But in reality, we think there is some misunderstanding in this whole thing. Antutu does not belong to the relevant Cheetah Mobile account !! Antutu was founded in 2011, before Cheetah Mobile, and is one of the first developers on Google Play. Cheetah Mobile became one of our investor-shareholders around 2014.
However, we still maintain a significant stake and our company operates independently of Cheetah Mobile, and we maintain our own completely independent Google Play account. Cheetah Mobile has nothing to do with our Google Play account, and AnTuTu has nothing to do with promoting Cheetah Mobile software.
We believe that the reason for Google's misjudgment is that we purchased and used the legal services from Cheetah Mobile, and Google incorrectly used the privacy policy for cmcm.com.
This is the topic we are currently working on, including the change of legal developer for our applications from Google. We hope that Google will be able to scrutinize Antutu's account, and finally resolve this misunderstanding as soon as possible.
We remind users that if they want to download Antutu applications, they have to download the APK files from official site of the company, in order to install the benchmarking application and test it on their devices.
