The investigations into the big blow that the well-known service received are continuing password management LastPass last August
But now, and after the new update of the "mother" company goto, it seems things are much more serious than first realised
The only positive in the case is that the data of its other less popular services is at risk GoTo (Hamachi, RemotelyAnywhere, Join.me, Central and Pro), as the information was stored on the same server as his LastPass, and this because the hackers also managed to steal the encryption key. This data includes usernames, passwords, settings MFA (multi-factor authentication like 2FA), product information up to and including licenses.
Η Goto has begun to inform the customers of its services about the attack and provides them with detailed instructions to secure their accounts, with the most obvious being the immediate change of their passwords. It also emphasizes that no bank details have been stolen because they are never stored on its own servers and users' vaults in LastPass are still completely secure.
It is noted that the investigation of the attack has not been completed and there will possibly be a new update with a final conclusion on the effects of the attack. It will be good if you use one of its services GoTo or LastPass proceed immediately to change it master password to give you peace of mind (as much as possible…).
