The long-awaited MIUI 11 from Xiaomi will be released next week along with two new Smartphones with support for 5G networks.
ΠPrior to the official release of the new OS, the head of the company for MIUI, Xiaofan, revealed that the Xiaomi decided to take a slightly different approach to animations in the new operating system.
Xiaomi is probably one of the few device manufacturers Android, which makes use of non-linear animations in its operating system. The company adopted this style from MIUI 6 where it used non-linear animations throughout the UI, as in the case of home screen animations and application removal. In the next MIUI updates, the company sought to accelerate these animations to make the UI faster and more flexible.
Later it was released MIUI 9 emphasizing phrase '快 如 闪电' meaning 'lightning fast'. So it was clear that the company wanted to make the animations as fast as possible in the new operating system. But when MIUI 10 was in development, Xiaomi realized that speed was less important in an animation, because apart from speed, the smoothness of the animation was what really mattered.
So Xiaomi decided that MIUI 10 would be the latest operating system to talk about application startup speeds.
So now, in the upcoming MIUI 11 OS, Xiaomi's MIUI Developer team is focused on making the animations slightly slower, and thus making them richer in detail. It adds that smoother animation enhances the user experience on the operating system. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said a few hours ago in a message on Weibo that he was surprised by the animations he saw on MIUI 11.
Unfortunately, so far Xiaomi has not given us a Video to see "first hand" how the animations will appear in the new MIUI 11, but anyway there are still a few days until the official presentation of the new Xiaomi operating system and it is certain that in this event all our questions will be answered.
