Samsung's latest camera sensors 108MP have inherent digital zoom capability on 2x or 3x without losses, depending on their configuration. The new sensor in 200MP it should be able to reach higher levels of digital zoom, and it may no longer be necessary to have a second telecamera on the devices.
This sensor will technically be able to offer maximum video resolution on 16K (133MP), but so far no chipset is available that can process these sizes, and we are still years away from the release of such a Chip that is able to support video in 16K, since even today the top chips are not able to process video on 8K @ 60fps.
These new high-resolution sensors will have to use smaller pixels, otherwise they will be quite large in size, which also means they will have a very thick camera unit.
The My 11 Ultra already has a fairly thick camera module with the GN2 sensor equipped, so the pixel binning combined with the improved processing algorithms in the new sensors, will offset the disadvantages of the smaller pixels they will have.
