The Redmi Note 7 seems to be a tough Smartphone, but there is only one real way to prove it - to break a nut with it.
Εokay, maybe this is not the right way to do it, but who are we to support it? After all, this video below was posted by Lin Bin, its co-founder and President Xiaomi.
Not only that, the video was shot at 960fps with a Mi 8, so you can see the test in slow motion.
The Redmi Note 7 gets the night mode of most premium mobile phones, so the above video could be a hint for the upcoming 960fps function on the device?
Currently, the device officially supports 1080p @ 120fps and 720p @ 120fps. The Snapdragon 660 chipset supports up to 720p @ 480fps. Xiaomi managed to get 720p @ 240fps from the same chipset in the Mi 8 Lite, and so maybe in the RedMi Note 7 there is some room for upgrade (but it depends not only on the camera, but also on the rest of HW).
Keep in mind that even the Snapdragon 845 can not record at 960fps, but uses the interpolation method to achieve this. Phones that use DRAM as Cache in the camera sensor, can shoot at real 960fps for a short time.
