Xiaomi is discontinuing production of the Mi Max and Mi Note for this year.

Ο Lei Jun (CEO of Xiaomi), in his new message at Weibo, stated that we will not see their successors this year Mi Max and Mi Note.

Όas Xiaomi clarified through the Brand name Mi will continue to focus on flagship smartphones that will incorporate all the latest innovations and cutting edge hardware such as the range My 9 , Mi Mix and the upcoming series CC.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Redmi will offer economical and efficient phones, which will offer all the basic features in a more economical package.

The line I Max was popular for its large screens and battery life while the series Mi Note was the top mid-range device for Xiaomi. Its release Redmi K20 can be considered as the spiritual successor of the series Mi Note, but the absence of a large screen and battery like its turn I Max creates a gap in the category of Phablet Smartphones.

While Xiaomi has not officially stopped its production lines Max and Footnotes, the future does not look very optimistic. Either way, Xiaomi may have some other plans for a Phablet-sized phone next year, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
