We had heard that Xiaomi will release two new Smartphones with Snapdragon 700, which will be intended for the series of finances Android One, and today we have the confirmation coming from a fairly reliable source.
Σaccording to one tweet, these phones have the code name Bamboo Sprout and Cosmos Sprout, and just like their predecessors Xiaomi Mi, have the same Sprout patch.
Unfortunately, the new information does not give us more information about the chipsets, but it seems logical that the Snapdragon 730 or at least the 712 SoC will be used for the Xiaomi Mi A3, while the Mi A3 Lite will have the slightly less powerful Snapdragon 710 chipset.
Interestingly, Xiaomi is also working on a third smartphone with the Snapdragon 7XX SoC, codenamed "Pyxis", but so far there is no more information to get a complete picture.
If the rumors are true, the Mi A3 will be a great choice for mid-range smartphones, as it will have a powerful SoC and a fingerprint scanner below the screen, which in turn means that the Mi A3 will be the first in a series with an OLED display.
