A new Smartphone Xiaomi received certification today from CCC, confirming support for charging on 11V / 6A (66W).
ΑThis is the fastest wired charge of any other Smartphone on the market.
Xiaomi released the Mi 9 Pro 5G last September, with fast charging at 40W and wireless charging at 30W.
This new Smartphone with support for 5G networks, is unlikely to be part of the new series Redmi K30 which will be presented on December 10, given the fact that had already been certified on last week, with fast charging at 30W. Also given that the order of My Notes 10 has already been released in Pro and non-Pro variants, the model numbers M2001J1E and M2001J1C listed in the certification file, possibly related to My 10 usually released at the beginning of the calendar year.
Xiaomi releasing a Smartphone with fast charging on 66w, can compete with Oppo, which is currently the only company offering the fastest charge on the market. Specifically the Opto Reno Ace supports 65W charging, and can charge the 4,000 mAh battery from 0 to 100% in just 28 minutes.
So it remains to be seen if the Xiaomi Smartphone that received certification today, will really be the My 10 or someone else, as some rumors say Mi Mix 4 that we all expect, to have an even faster charge approaching 100w.
