Η Xiaomi has been working for quite some time in developing technology that will allow the integration of the camera below the screen.
ΤRedmi General Manager, Lu Weibing revealed on Weibo that Xiaomi is working hard to perfect the under display camera.
According to official information, Xiaomi technology will make the part of the screen in front of the camera transparent, as a result of which the light passes to the camera and then the video or photo is recorded. The front facing camera will be located under a specially designed screen which will have low reflection and high light transmission. It will make virtually no difference to the way we take pictures now.
It is worth mentioning that OPPO is working on similar technologies as well as Samsung, which may release this smartphone in early 2020.
