RedMi Note 8: Passed by the FCC - released on August 29, and possibly released in the US.

Η Redi of Xiaomi has been at the forefront of the news in recent months for well-known reasons.

Η series Redmi Note 7 helped her Xiaomi to maintain the top position in the Indian market for the 8th consecutive quarter, selling over 5,5 million units in the first five months of its release. Redmi entered also in the section of premium Smartphones with the Redmi K20 Pro , which was named "Flagship Killer 2.0" by Xiaomi itself.

It was confirmed today that Redmi plans to release the Redmi Note 8 alongside its own 4K Smart TV 70 inch. The RedMi Note 8 has passed the FCC, giving us a first look at the live photos of what the device will look like, and in fact there are serious chances that this device will be officially released in the US.

Devices intended for sale in the USA must be evaluated by an independent laboratory to ensure that they comply with the standards of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and laboratory results must be submitted to the FCC in order to obtain FCC certification.

FCC certification allows users to find details about the device's wireless frequency, device cameras, and SAR reports on wireless transmissions.

The Xiaomi Redmi M1908C3JG he's got so it went through the FCC (with the identity FCC ID 2AFZZC3JG), giving us good information about the network support that the device will have.

The front of the device is similar to what we recently saw on Tena. What we see is a water notch on the front camera and the Redmi signal on the lower chin of the device. While the front end is no different from the device that went through the TENAA, the back of the device reveals a different story.

The back of the device shows the installation of the quad camera, the placement of the LED flash and the fingerprint sensor. We can also locate the volume key and the power button. The pictures of the power cord show that the phone will be accompanied by a USB Type-C port.

Surprisingly, the registration document only mentions 3 / 32GB and 4 / 64GB variations, although it is important to remember that FCC information is US only and does not apply to the rest of the world.

One possible explanation for the differences we see between the FCC and TENAA is that there may be two different models, such as the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro, but we do not yet have specific data to support this.

The FCC's approval of the device does not necessarily mean that this phone will definitely be released in the US - it just increases the chance of it being released in the US. Perhaps there are many obstacles that could prevent such a launch in the US, so we should not expect much in this area. Let's not forget that the trade war between the USA and China may focus on Huawei, but it certainly creates many obstacles for all Chinese manufacturers, and consequently for Xiaomi.
