Η Xiaomi prepared a new update for Miui on Redmi K20 Pro, which fixes the problem with inadvertently opening the pop-up camera.
Η new update also brings a number of system-level improvements and fixes. Xiaomi released the Redmi K20 Pro last month. This is the first top quality smartphone under the Redmi brand.
The smartphone is also set to launch in India within six days and will not be named Poco F2 as previously rumored. While the device has a pop-up selfie camera, it suffers from issues that appear on other devices as well. Among the most important is the unintentional opening of the selfie camera when the user makes a video call.
OnePlus was the first to encounter this problem when OnePlus 7 Pro users complained that the pop-up selfie camera was activated every time they received a WhatsApp call.
This happened even when the device was in the pocket, exposing the mechanism of the automatic camera. Owners of the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro also face a similar problem, and even report having this problem with other applications, such as WeChat.
The Redmi K20 Pro received an update two days ago with version v10.3.7.0.PFKCNXM. This update focused mainly on optimizing system performance and stability. However, it did not have any issues with the Selfie camera, and now Xiaomi has started distributing a new version of MIUI for the Redmi K20 Pro that addresses this camera issue.
The new MIUI v10.3.8.0.PFKCNXM update for the RedMi K20 Pro, in addition to solving the problem with Selfie, adds the Face Unlock (face unlock) requested by everyone, significantly improves the functionality of the device and solves various other problems reported by the owners of the device.
The update is being distributed gradually, and device owners may have to wait a little longer until they receive the upgrade notification.
