Redmi 7A: Made its appearance in China and its specifications became known.

While we have all focused on the much-anticipated RedMi flagship, Redmi 7A in China.

Η  device runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie, and offers a large 4.000mAh battery.

This is the replacement of the Redmi 6A that was released in 2018. The price of this phone is expected to be announced on May 28, at the same time as the debut of the Redmi K20. This Smartphone belongs to the category of entry phones, and will of course have a very low price.

The device has a polycarbonate frame with P2i nano-coating for moisture resistance.

Features of the Redmi 7A

The new Redmi 7A runs MIUI 10 based on the Android 9 Pie operating system. The smartphone comes equipped with a compact 5,45-inch IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The screen supports HD + resolution (720 × 1440 pixels). As you can see, the device has an old design with quite large bezels on the top and bottom of the phone.

The new RedMi 7A is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core SOC clocked at 1.95GHz, and the combination of memory and storage that the device will have is expected to be revealed soon. The phone will also have a special slot for microSD card.

As mentioned above, the device will have a large battery at 4.000mAh, and will support charging at 10W. In terms of cameras, the device only has a 13 megapixel sensor on the back. The camera is of course supported by an LED flash, and supports some AI features such as fast PDAF focus, AI beauty and background blur. At the front, for Selfie there is a 5 megapixel sensor.

The RedMi 7A does not have a fingerprint sensor, but it does support AI-based face unlocking.

In terms of connectivity, the device has support for dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB port and 3,5 mm headphone jack.

Gizmochina reports that the Redmi 7A with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage will be priced at around 599 RMB (~ 64 €), the same as last year's Redmi 6A.
