ΜAfter discovering a potential safety problem with some M365 electric scooters, Xiaomi issues a recall of the product. See how you can find out if you are affected and how to apply for a free repair.
"Since our inception, Xiaomi has been dedicated to producing safe and quality products for our customers.Xiaomi said in a statement.
"After finding a potential problem with the Mi Electric Scooter (model: M365), we found that, in a limited number of products, a screw in the folding device has the potential to loosen, causing the steering shaft to loosen.
Because the safety of our customers is our main concern, we believe that the best way to deal with the problem is to carry out a precautionary recall of products that affected".
They are affected as a whole 10.257 units produced between October 27 and December 5 2018. The affected models have a serial number ranging from 21074/00000316 - 21074/00015107 and 16133/00541209 - 16133/00544518.
The vast majority of these Scooters were distributed to United Kingdom, but the recall also affects customers in Germany, Spain, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Colombia, Turkey, Laos, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Portugal, Singapore, Russia and Thailand
Xiaomi apologizes for the recall and advises all owners of M365 electric scooters to stop using them, until they verify if it is one of the affected models and in need of repair.

All genuine Xiaomi electric scooters have a floor label with a serial number printed on it. You will find it here:
