ΜOne of these strategies is to include advertising within the operating system. As the company previously stated, "advertising has been and will continue to be an integral part of our online services," according to recent statements made on Weibo by Xiaomi product manager and MIUI Experience CEO.
Xiaomi's product manager responded to complaints from various users on Weibo (China Social Media) about the existence of ads on MIUI, and to everyone's surprise, told users that this aspect would be fixed, but it would take time.
This could lead to a rise in smartphone prices, something CEO Lei Jun has already mentioned in a previous post.
