Poco F2 : Shown on GeekBench with (if possible) SD845 and Android 8.1 – FAKE !

Today she made her appearance at GeekBench a device that is supposedly new Poco F2, and according to common sense and our own assessment is false (FAKE).

ΠRecently, a blogger leaked a photo with the supposed Screen Protector for  Xiaomi POCO F2 , and based on this photo, the Poco F2 will have the screen with waterdrop Notch.

In addition, a ScreenShot from GeekBench appeared showing (άκουσον - άκουσον) that the POCO F2 will have 6GB RAM, will wear it Snapdragon 845 and will run MIUI based on Android 8.1 (If possible).

According to GeekBench, the device managed to achieve 2,473 units in the single-core test, and 8.633 units in the multi-core test.

These can not be true - We consider it impossible for all of the above to be true.

If possible the Poco F2 to be so behind in specifications wearing an old SOC (SD845), and even running Android 8.1 at the time when its latest OS update Poco F1 is based on Android 9.

Someone seems to have changed the data in the build.prop naming another device as Poco F2 and it passed GeekBench.

We consider it inconceivable that Xiaomi and PocoPhone India aimed for commercial suicide. We think it's more likely that we'll never see news from here on out Poco device, rather than seeing a new device appear Poco F2 with the above characteristics.

Below we attach the article we published a few days ago, and your conclusions.

What about Pocophone and the Xiaomi brand that plays its role flagship killer; It has been almost a year since its release Pocophone F1 and so far we have heard almost nothing about them Poco F2.

ΌWhen Redmi unveiled its new smartphone, Redmi K20, then started the rumors that wanted the smartphone to be released under another name depending on the region.

Coupled with the fact that the company launched it as flagship killer 2.0, many believed that one of the possible names of the device will be the Pocophone F2. In fact, they were commenting that this version will be released in India. Eventually, the smartphone was launched in several markets as Xiaomi Mi 9T and in India by its "normal" name Redmi K20.

But what about the Pocophone and the Xiaomi brand that plays the role of flagship killer? It's been almost a year since its release Pocophone F1 and so far we have heard almost nothing about them Poco F2. Also, one of the top executives of the company, responsible for the development of Poco, Jai Mani, left Xiaomi.

The research director of IDC India, Navkendar Singh, stated that the Poco it offered great specs at a low cost, but compromises in design and build quality. Redmi's K series offers flagship features, hardware, good design and build quality at very affordable prices.

Based on these, the analyst emphasizes, the competition created by Redmi K is extremely large. That's why the future of Pocophone is particularly uncertain.

It is worth noting that the Redmi K20 in India costs 22.000 Indian Rupees or 285 €. However, more than 3.000 Indians have signed to reduce its price to € 260. This means that maybe there is a market for a more economical smartphone with high-end features and let there be a package with compromises in design.

Finally, both Xiaomi employees and the vice president of the company, refused to comment on their future Pocophone. Although a Xiaomi representative said that nothing changes for the brand because Jai Mani is gone.

Anyway, in August it will be one year since its release Pocophone F1, so if the company plans to release a new device the leaks and teasers will start.
